Use cases

What's your use case?

Same tool, three workflows. Watch how it works for yours.

Create an ad campaign

Your AI lays out the creatives, you fine-tune them. Every creative comes in all formats for Meta and Google.

  • All eight formats with the safe zones for Meta and Google
  • Change it once, every format follows
  • Ad copy and campaign settings in the same project file

Design a poster

Fix the typo, swap the picture, change the time – without asking the AI for a whole new image.

  • Every text, picture and colour stays editable
  • Remove backgrounds with one click, right on your Mac
  • Print-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks, A2 to A5

Create YouTube thumbnails

Let your AI draft thumbnails you can edit, pick one, and turn it into a whole series – one per episode or level.

  • Thumbnail, Shorts cover, banner and end screen in the right sizes
  • Guides for the duration badge, hover icons and progress bar
  • One layout, many thumbnails: your AI renders the whole series

A native macOS app for ads and posters made of real layers: background, picture, headline, details. Every creative comes in all eight formats for Meta and Google, plus print-ready posters and YouTube thumbnails, Shorts covers, banners and end screens.

Your AI assistant does the heavy lifting through MCP. You correct, move and deliver in the app, without rolling the dice again.

Get it

Wonderful Creatives is on the Mac App Store: get it there. The MCP that connects your AI assistant is a free download from this page.

It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. We are not fans of subscriptions for a tool you open a few times a month, so we built something that solves one problem and then simply belongs to you. If you are looking for a complete design suite or a web app for your whole team, this is not it.

Why we built it

Image AIs deliver a finished, flat picture. When the time on a poster is wrong, you ask again, and you get a different picture. There is no “change just this”.

We wanted the opposite: the AI builds the poster as a project with separate layers, and anything it got wrong is one click to fix.

We also needed it for our own ads: a place where the AI and we work on the same creatives, pass them back and forth and export them for Meta and Google. We did not find that as a small tool, only as big suites that try to do everything. So we built the minimal version: one app, your project folder, nothing you do not need.

For your AI

Post this to your AI agent

Wonderful Creatives works with AI assistants that support MCP, such as Codex or Claude Code. Copy this into your agent once – it installs the free MCP and connects it.

1Get Wonderful Creatives from the Mac App Store.
2Copy the text below into Codex, Claude Code or another MCP client.
3Ask for ads and posters – your agent builds them, you fine-tune in the app.
SETUP FOR YOUR AI AGENT
Set up the Wonderful Creatives MCP for me.
1. Open https://wonderfulplugins.eu/wonderful-creatives-mcp/ and use the newest version listed there: download the ZIP with curl, verify its SHA-256 and unzip it to ~/.wonderful-creatives/mcp.
2. Check that Wonderful Creatives is installed from the Mac App Store. If it is not, tell me and stop.
3. Register the MCP in this client with the configuration shown on that page.
4. Before your first change, call read_guide(workflow) and follow it.

Then ask for what you need, for example

“Create a Halloween party poster for Saturday, October 31, 6 pm, Lindenhof 12. Keep background, picture and text as separate layers.”
“Make an autumn campaign with three motifs in all Meta and Google formats. Use our photos, cut out, and one background per format.”
“Generate three more backgrounds: darker, warmer, fewer leaves.”
“Write the ad copy for Meta and Google for the landing page example.com/autumn.”

What it does

  • Every creative in eight formats: four for Meta, four for Google, each with its own layout.
  • A poster in portrait or landscape, exported as a print-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks or as a 300 dpi PNG, from A5 to A2.
  • YouTube thumbnails, Shorts covers, channel banners and end screens, with guides for what YouTube puts on top, a readability hint and JPG export within YouTube’s limits. Through MCP, your AI renders a whole series from one template.
  • Your own fonts: drop a TTF or OTF into the project and use it like any other font.
  • Real layers: text with fonts, word colours and alignment; pictures with shadow, rotation, background removal and invert.
  • A change can stay in one format or go through all of them; undo is always one step.
  • Ad copy and campaign data for Meta and Google in the same project, exported as a paused Google Ads Editor file and a structured Meta handoff.
  • Projects are plain folders on your Mac: a JSON file and your images.

Privacy and permissions

The app is sandboxed. It only reads and writes the project folders you choose. Background removal runs on your Mac.

The only network request is the optional landing page check you start yourself. No account, no telemetry, no analytics.

What it deliberately does not do

It does not publish ads and has no access to your ad accounts. It does not generate images itself: pictures come from you, your client or your AI. Print PDFs are RGB, not PDF/X or CMYK.

Requirements

macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer. For the AI part: an assistant with MCP support, such as Codex or Claude Code.

Frequently asked questions

Is it a subscription?
No. You buy it once on the Mac App Store; updates come through the store.

Do I need an AI to use it?
No. It is a complete editor on its own. The AI part through MCP is optional.

Which AI assistants work with it?
Any assistant that supports MCP, for example Codex or Claude Code.

Does it publish my ads?
No. It exports images, ad copy and campaign handoffs. You, or your AI with your own accounts, publish them.

Does it generate images?
No. Pictures come from you, your client or your AI. The app lays them out, removes backgrounds and exports them.

Is it a web app? Is there a cloud?
No. It is a native Mac app. Projects are normal folders on your Mac; to share one, pass the folder on.

Who is it not for?
If you need a full design suite, browser-based team collaboration or video editing, a bigger tool will serve you better.
