Who is responsible?

Website delivery & security

When you visit or download a file, the web server processes connection data such as your IP address, time of request, requested address, response status and browser information. This is needed to deliver the website, investigate errors and protect it against misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a reliable and secure website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Technical hosting providers may process this data on our behalf. Access is limited to people who need it to operate and secure the service.

To confirm before publication: hosting provider, server country, processors, any transfers outside the EEA and safeguards, actual log fields and deletion period. Any security services used on the live website also need their data flows and retention settings checked.

When you contact us

If you email us, we process your address, message and information you choose to include to respond to your request.

Contract-related enquiries: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Other enquiries: our legitimate interest in answering questions, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We retain correspondence while it is needed to resolve the request and, where applicable, to meet legal retention duties or handle legal claims. You do not have to contact us to use the website. Without a reply address we may be unable to answer.

Cookies & your choice

Wonderful Cookie and Consent Banner stores your choices in the first-party cookie wonderful_cookie_and_consent_banner for up to 365 days. This preference is necessary to respect your choice; it is not used to track you. The legal basis for related processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; necessary storage is covered by § 165(3) TKG 2021.

You can change or withdraw optional consent at any time using the Cookie settings control. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew it.

Optional statistics with Matomo

The production configuration uses Matomo at matomo.thaler-software.eu to understand how pages and downloads are used. The consent banner controls the statistics category. Analytics must only load after you agree. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 165(3) TKG 2021.

Depending on the confirmed server settings, Matomo processes visited pages, referrers, time, device/browser information, IP data and identifiers such as _pk_* cookies. We do not treat self-hosting as proof that no service provider receives data.

To confirm before publication: Matomo host and processors, server country, IP masking, cookie lifetimes, raw-data and report retention, and any international transfers.

Fonts, links & downloads

This design keeps the existing Open Sans typeface and serves its font files locally. Product images and screenshots are stored with the website. Ordinary links to WordPress.org or other websites only take you to that provider when you follow them. The destination then processes your visit under its own privacy information.

Downloading a file from this website produces a normal web-server request. The behaviour of a plugin after installation depends on that plugin and your configuration. Each product page describes the relevant features.

Our apps

Wonderful DiskMap, Open in Terminal and Video to Transcript collect no personal data. They have no account, no advertising, no analytics and no telemetry, and nothing you do in them is reported to us. Each app works only on the folders and files you point it at, and writes its results where you tell it to.

DiskMap and Open in Terminal make no network requests at all. Video to Transcript makes exactly one kind: when you pick a speech model, it downloads that model once from Hugging Face (huggingface.co, repository argmaxinc/whisperkit-coreml) after telling you how large it is. That request carries what any download carries, your IP address and the file requested, and is handled by Hugging Face under their own privacy policy. Your recordings, the extracted audio and the transcripts stay on your Mac.

Each app keeps its own settings on the device, such as the folder you last chose or the terminal you prefer, inside its sandbox container. Removing the app removes them. Apps bought from the Mac App Store are delivered by Apple; what Apple records about a purchase is covered by Apple’s privacy policy, and we receive only anonymous sales figures.

Wonderful Photo Workshop (Mac) collects no data and makes no network connection at all. It reads the photos you drop into its window or pick in the open panel and writes smaller or re-framed copies into the folder you confirm; your originals are never changed. To place a crop frame, it looks for faces, people and the most eye-catching region with Apple’s Vision framework on your Mac; the result only positions the frame and is discarded when you close the app – nobody is identified and nothing is stored. By default the GPS position and place names are removed from the copies; you can also remove all metadata (camera, date, location). In its own preferences on your Mac it keeps the last task you used, the window size and references (security-scoped bookmarks) to the output folders you allowed, so it does not have to ask again. No account, no advertising, no analytics, no telemetry, no server. Removing the app removes them.

Wonderful PDF Workshop (Mac) reads the PDFs you open or drop on it and writes the new PDFs you ask for into the place you choose; it never changes or deletes your originals. It has no network access at all: nothing is uploaded or sent to us, and there is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no telemetry. To suggest the order of scanned pages, it reads printed page numbers on scans with the text recognition built into macOS, on your Mac; the pictures and the text found in them are not stored and not sent anywhere. In its preferences on your Mac it keeps your last choices (open tool, compression preset, target size, whether to remove metadata); while the app is open, compressed copies waiting to be saved lie in its own temporary folder and are removed when you start over or quit. Removing the app removes its settings.

Wonderful Snore Tracker (iPhone) records audio with the iPhone’s microphone while you sleep, to detect snoring. Detection runs on the device. Recordings, results, your notes and settings are stored only on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage, and all of it is excluded from iCloud backups. The app has no account, no server, no analytics and makes no network connection at all; it works in airplane mode. Nothing is shared unless you use the share button yourself. Deleting a night or the app removes the data.

Wonderful Noise Log (iPhone) records audio with the iPhone’s microphone while you start a recording, to measure noise and recognise its kind. Recognition runs on the device. Of the audio, the app keeps only a short clip of each noise event (a few seconds before to a few seconds after; can be switched off), never the whole recording. Recordings, events, clips, your notes, the name and address for the protocol and the settings are stored on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage. By default they are included in your own iPhone backup (iCloud or your computer); in Settings you can keep the clips, or everything, out of the backup. The app has no account, no subscription, no server, no analytics and makes no network connection at all; we never receive any of this data. Nothing is shared unless you use the share button yourself (PDF, CSV, audio clips). Clips are deleted automatically after 30 days by default (7 or 90 days, or never, can be chosen); events, notes and the protocol stay until you delete them. Deleting a recording or the app removes the data from the iPhone; copies in an older backup of yours or files you shared yourself are managed by you.

Wonderful Fasting (iPhone) stores your fasts, optional weight entries and settings only on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage, excluded from iCloud backups. No account, no server, no analytics, no network connection. Reminders are local notifications on the device. Nothing is shared unless you export it yourself (CSV). Deleting the app removes the data.

Wonderful Timesheet (iPhone) stores your working hours, breaks, days off, optional project names, your name for the timesheet and your settings only on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage, excluded from iCloud backups. No account, no server, no analytics, no network connection. The “Still clocked in?” reminder is a local notification and the lock screen display (Live Activity) runs on the device. Nothing is shared unless you export a timesheet yourself (PDF or CSV through the share sheet). Deleting the app removes everything; “Delete all hours” in Settings removes the entries, days off, settings and the timesheets the app generated. Files you already shared stay wherever you sent them.

Wonderful Warranty (iPhone) stores your purchases, scanned receipts, product photos, documents and settings only on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage. By default this storage is part of your own iPhone backup (iCloud or your computer); a switch in Settings excludes it. The camera is used only to scan receipts; the text on them is read on the device (Apple Vision) and never uploaded. Photos and files are only read when you pick them. No account, no server, no analytics, no network connection. Reminders are local notifications on the device. Nothing is shared unless you share it yourself (PDF, CSV or the receipt). Deleting the app removes the data from the iPhone; copies in your own earlier backups stay until you delete those backups.

Wonderful Blood Pressure (iPhone) stores the readings you enter (blood pressure, pulse, arm, notes), your optional name for the report and your settings on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage. No account, no subscription, no server, no analytics, no network connection: we never receive your data. Reminders are local notifications. By default the app’s files are part of your own iPhone backup (iCloud or your computer); you can switch this off in the app’s settings, which leaves them out of future backups. Apple Health is off by default: only if you switch on “Save to Apple Health” and allow it in the iOS dialog, the app writes your blood pressure readings and, if allowed, your pulse to Apple Health on your iPhone, and updates or removes them there when you edit or delete a reading. The app reads nothing from Apple Health; no Health data is ever sent to us or to any third party by the app, or used for advertising. Apple Health keeps its own copy under your Apple settings; you can withdraw the permission at any time in Settings › Health. Nothing is passed on unless you share the PDF or CSV yourself. Deleting the app removes its own storage; copies in your backups or in Apple Health stay until you delete them there.

Wonderful Bark Log (iPhone) listens with the iPhone’s microphone while you are out, to recognise your dog’s barking, howling, whimpering and growling on the device. Of each dog event it keeps a short audio clip (from three seconds before, at most two minutes), which contains whatever else was audible then, voices included; sound outside dog events is discarded after the on-device analysis. Events, clips, your notes and settings are stored only on your iPhone and – if you leave it switched on in Settings – in your own iPhone backup (iCloud or your Mac); clips can be left out of the backup or switched off entirely. Clips are deleted after 30 days by default (adjustable). No subscription, no account, no server, no analytics, no network connection. Nothing is shared unless you use the share button (PDF report, audio clips).

Wonderful Plant Watering (iPhone) stores your plants, their waterings, settings and the photos you choose only on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage. No subscription, no account, no server, no analytics, no ads, no network connection: the app sends nothing anywhere. By default the data is part of your own iPhone backup (iCloud Backup or the backup on your computer); you can switch this off in the app’s settings (“Include in iPhone backup”), then the data stays on this iPhone only. Such a backup is made by iOS under your Apple account; we have no access to it. Photos are picked with the system photo picker: the app only receives the picture you select, never your library. Reminders are local notifications on the device. Nothing is shared unless you send the watering plan (PDF) yourself through the share sheet. Deleting the app removes the data from the iPhone.

Subject to the GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the address above.

You may complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde) or another competent supervisory authority. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about website visitors.
